Judy is the founder and president of Tagging Along Communications, a public relations and communications consulting firm. She designs strategies for higher education, non-profit organizations, and government agencies. Under the leadership of former University of Washington President Mark Emmert and the Executive Director of the Alumni Association, she worked with the Alumni Association to create a sustainable grassroots advocacy effort, involving its 50,000 alumni members as advocates for higher education funding with their state legislators.

She also works with organizations and boards to develop leadership capacity and build high-performance teams, facilitating planning sessions, and conducting training workshops.
